SISL Beamer Color Themes
Elephant bird

About
Elephant Bird and Ostrich are two color themes for the
Beamer class.
They can give your presentation a distinct appearance.
UIC logos are included for institution identification.
Both of these themes consist of colors being used on this wiki.
Elephant Bird employs a dark palette useful for displaying slideshows on a video projector.
Ostrich has a bright palette, useful for printed media and other applications.
Examples

Actual results may vary depending on the major (structural) theme selected.

How to use
Download the
theme files.
Extract the
latex/ directory into your presentation's working directory.
For best results, select the main (structural) theme before selecting the color theme.
For instance, in your initial
.tex file, select the Ostrich theme using the command below.
\usetheme{default}
\usepackage{latex/packages/ostrich}
You can select the Elephant bird theme similarly:
\usetheme{default}
\usepackage{latex/packages/elephantbird}
Logos
The themes define several graphic
logos.
Each university logo comes in a default size, but you can vary the scaling with an optional parameter.
% Standard UIC logo, default scaling of 0.25%:

UIC logo
The basic
UIC logo is included by default on slides where defined by the selected structural theme.
It is white on the Elephant bird theme, and Navy blue on the Ostrich theme.
CS Department logos
The
Computer Science Department logos are available on command.
They will have a black or white background, depending on which color theme you are using.
More logos
There are some other logos available as well.
Feel free to experiment with them to get the right look for your slides.
